I received this and feel compelled to share with anyone who cares to view.

Dear friend,

Some time ago, you indicated your support for an on-line petition asking the IRS to revoke the federal tax-exempt status of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA). While we're still hard at work trying to realize this goal, our most recent education effort is a new report exposing how PETA is targeting American children with its destructive messages.

PETA prides itself on attention-grabbing publicity stunts, but handing out graphic and violent propaganda materials to kids as young as six years old is extremely inappropriate. In some cases, PETA camps out in forunt of schools, intercepting small children as they walk to and from classes.

Examples of PETA's grotesque activism includes a comic titled “Your Mommy Kills Animals” (see below). Another PETA brochure, called “Question Authority,” shows a hand holding a bloody knife (also below). PETA activists also distribute stencils for spray-paint vandalism, stickers with obscene messages, and buckets of fake "blood" meant to scare kids away from eating meat. Shock tactics like these can scar children for life, and few parents realize their young ones are being targeted. Some of it is even done inside the schools, through the help of misguided teachers.

I hope you’ll read this groundbreaking report and pass it along to every parent and teacher that you know.

Sincerely,

David Martosko

You would think you could sue PETA for showing something like that. It's absurd to project that a mother grabs a rabbit by the ears and stabs it to death to get a fur coat. That has to be against the law.

I'm certainly no fan of PETA and their tactics are dispicable.

http://www.disinfopedia.org/ claims that
"The Center for Consumer Freedom"is nothing more than a front for the Restaurant, Alcohol and Tobacco Ind.'s

Don't know how reliable the above site is, after a little digging online, it looks like it was created by a couple of Liberal Activists. BUT If it is true, the Center for Consumer Freedom are pretty unsavory characters in thier own right.

(from above link)

Center for Consumer Freedom

The Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) (formerly called the "Guest Choice Network") is a front group for the restaurant, alcohol and tobacco industries. It runs media campaigns which oppose the efforts of scientists, doctors, health advocates, environmentalists and groups like Mothers Against Drunk Driving, calling them "the Nanny Culture — the growing fraternity of food cops, health care enforcers, anti-meat activists, and meddling bureaucrats who 'know what's best for you.' A few years ago, PETA targeted a couple of southeast Michigan elementary schools with their propaganda. They planned on sending their mascot, Gill the Fish, in full costume to attract kids as they were leaving school. They would then hand the kids their literature. Luckily, a few of the parents in our school district got wind of it and called the pricipal and superintendant of our school. When PETA arrived, the local police and many parents were there to to make sure they didn't approach any of the children.
This tactic of their's is a form of abduction. We teach our kids not to talk to strangers and these idiots dress up in costumes and try to snare the kids when there are no other adults around.
Many of PETA's methods are illegal and nothing more than social terrorism. Scare tacticts.
