Boy the past couple days I have been in a terrible mood! I'm so ready for hunting season it's making me angry:) Everytime I look at my hunting stuff I get even more annoyed and when I shot clays it gets a little better for awhile but then I see geese or ducks and I want to hunt again::lol: Does anyone else get this way?

The only time I get that way is my last day at work. The day before I go up. Otherwise It gets me in a good mood this close to the season

Hard to find time to get upset. I just checked my schedule for the next 2 weeks and I found 15 minutes of unplanned time so I penciled it in on an autoreminder.

Well, I was in a good mood up until about a week ago. Everything was falling into place, putting together hunt camp and checking the gear was going well. I was shooting my bow every day with nice groupings etc... But then something happened, I was at work one day and was asked if I would mind flying down to Orlando for the week after Labor Day weekend. I hesitated for a couple of seconds but said sure, no problem. But there was a problem. I had taken that week off for early goose season! So after a few days of moping and making phone calls canceling trips, I just told myself that when I get back on that Friday, I will spend Friday night with the family then bright and early in the wee hours of the morning drive to my favorite goose watering hole and get setup for an enjoyable Goose Hunt. In the afternoon I will get my bow out and shoot 3-D then in the evening drive to my local hunting store and put together a wish list. :) Now I'm back in a good mood because I'm thinking about what I'm going to do when i get back home.
Oh yea, Whenever I go out of state I make sure to bring a Michigan hunting magazine with me so that I can think about being back home in the outdoors.
BTW, anyone have any good suggestions on a waterfowl hunt guide service around the San Antonio TX area? I will be there the second week of Nov on a business trip and plan on staying an extra day. This trip will be right before Rifle season.

I dont find myself in a bad mood. Half the fun of the hunting season is the anticipation of a new year. I am actually excited, every day we get a little closer to a new season. Days are getting shorter, nights a little cooler, hunting seasons are just a short time off. I love this time of year. I enjoy watching the deer grow through the summer, the anticipation of getting a shot of the nice buck you've been watching all summer. Seeing flocks of geese dropping into a hayfield or a farm pond......its great too see. I love hunting, I also love watching too. Thats what does it for me.....hunting season is never over for me, although I may have to put away the tools for awhile I never really leave the woods.....so with that said I think I am gonna treat myself to a new stick an string!
