I'm considering buying a tracking collar for my new squirrel dog. I have a Tracker Maxima Receiver in the 216 band I got for the bird. The collar would have to be light--the dog only weighs 23 lbs. Any suggestions?

Look into the Wildlife Materials #3850 Beagler collar. I origianlly bought mine for the beagles, but it works well on my little Treeing Feist squirrel dog who goes 16" & 22lbs.
What kind of dog did you get? From whom? How old?
You can see him wearing a green #3850 (w/antennae) transmitter collar in this pic.

i like the wildlife collars too. but i also like the marshall collars. they are real light and they use AA batteries. i liek to use the lithium AA's in mine so i get a little more battery life out of them.
here is a link for marshall:http://marshallradio.com/hound/hproducts_transmitters.asp
i see that marshall makes trackers for birds too. do you use them.
