Back to the south end of the dumps as we did yesterday, fished from 130-530 and caught 10 walleye, all dinks, 8 were legal and came home with us. Several perch also kept. Silver and red patterns, all on bottom bouncers...30 boats by 430...andy

Dan: Are you serious,"do you eat them".....of course we eat them. I also like giving some to my elderly neighbors who love to eat fresh fish. The bass fishing has been non-existant due to all the Bass guys on the lake for the past several weeks prefishing, fishing the tourneys, postfishing etc etc....
I have seen so so many dead bass in the last week, it has been unreal. I would guess some of these deaths are natural due in part to the huge swing in wheather we had around a week ago, from cool to super hot etc....but the number of dead bass I have seen in the last 10 days from 7 mile to 11 mile is alarming, has anyone else seen this???.
Is funny the bass season is just about over on LSC by the time it legally opens, all the fish have been shy'ed up from a month or more of preseason fishing. By mid june we switch from bass to walleye or musky fishing...andy

We fished the Pond as well.
Rodeo and his muskie partner, Mike, joined me yesterday.
We washed baits from the Middle Channel into the Bay and back on the Mile roads. Flat day and very buggy. At one point, I saw 8 different species of insects on the boat. Several times we had to pick up our lines and run to get the bugs out of the boat.
No muskies. We did get into some bass in shallower water, but we didn't set the world on fire.
In the late afternoon, I was joined by SFK. He can't go one day without fishing. He called me around 2pm, to fill me in on his weekend with Splitshot. As soon as he found out, that I was on the boat, he left work and met me dockside within a couple of hours.
We went to target bass. We found the larger fish in deeper water. 8-11ft.
Tubes and sculpin immitation on the flyrod were the ticket.
Several in the 17" range were boated, along with some monster rockbass.

Mostly on the south side of the 400 Club.
There is a few decent fish in close, but the higher concentrations were in deeper water. We didn't even have to cast. Just drop it down next to the boat and keep it about 4-6" off the bottom.
We did find another pressure sensitive spot.
E-mail me.

What GOOD fishing spot isnt pressure sensitive??...jigging for walleyes in the river in 35 feet of water....with the constant running back up to the top of the drift two hours later these fish have lock jaw.....walleyes in 11 feet of water in the dumps, in clear water on a calm day, with 80 boats fishing a 1/4 square mile...I am amazed we did as well as we did on sunday..the gangbang always spooks fish, doesn't it????

We found fish in shallow water (4foot) that is less than a mile from some very large marinas and accessible from shore. Do I need to go on?
I'm willing to share, but not on the internet.
There is a big differance between hitting fish along with 500 other boats at West Sister and a little 20 acre section on the pond.
I'm glad you did well, Shoe
