30 acre wildlife sanctuary?

Is it true that you can designate a minimum of 30 acres of your land as a wildlife sanctuary to reduce property taxes? If so, can someone give me some links to read up on this? I'm thinking of buying 40 acres and would likely leave 30+ acres naturalized.

I have never heard anything about this in all my dealings with the DNR, Ducks Unlimited, or the Soil Conservation DIstrict. I have also applied for several Federal and State run conservation programs over the years in an attempt ot secure habitat development assistance or tax credits and never heard of any program like the one you describe.

If this program exists, I have never come across it.
