Great site and good info.

I would like to here or read from just the owners or users of the new e tec.

I talked to sale people, have brochers, spec charts, yet have i talked to the people that use it on a daily basis. I know the outboard came out last year but maybe there is someone out there.

If any of you have more useful info on this subject please seen it my way.(like articles testing the outboard & stuff like that)

by the way any of you think there will be a e-tec at "BOAT SHOW USA" this september.

thanks for the info, ebrocc

I have a 40 E-Tech and its one of those few things in life that is better than advertised. Super quiet, smooth, fast and uses half of the gas that my 25 Evinrude 2 stroke did! It literally throws my 16'ft boat out of the water on a holeshot. I have it on my boat in Northern Wisc and when I bought it in April I had to buy it here in Chicago and drag it up north because I couldn't find a dealer that had one. I rigged it myself and mistakenly left the throttle spacing to big so it had a miss and some starting problems. I took it to the local Evinrude dealer where it sat for three weeks. When I returned I hitched it up and took it to aa dealer that knew E-Techs and they solved the problem with a PDA and a cell phone call to Evinrude in 15 minutes. It's lighter weight than a 4 stroke which helps speed and the weight on the back of the boat. I would not hestitate to buy one, I think when Evinrude gets all the HP models on the market and starts advertising these things they are going to take over the industry. I would however buy one from a dealer that has been trained in E-Tech computer technology. If your in the UP I can tell you where I bought mine.
