I was courious, those of us that have a boat do you have a name for it and how did the name come about?
After working midnights I havent been sleeping very well. Im off on weekends and will be waking up at 1:30am or so. the wife ask (what are you doing?)
" cant sleep " then she ask (where are you going?) " fishing ".
So I named the boat FINSOMNIA, I figure If I cant sleep I might as well fish until I can :fish:

My boat's name......."Obsession" . I tend to have one towards fishing, mainly Walleyes, but almost any fishing will do !!! In fact today I took a Vacation day just to go hit the Bay and nail a few 'eyes with the wife. The weekend weather does not seem to be cooperating, so, during the week I'll play it this way ! :fish2: :fish: :D

Last fall my faithful old rig sustained irrepairable transom damage, and was totaled-out.
I named the replacement Unforgiven.

The previous owner removed the name from the transom to refinish it which has since been done but name hasn't been re-applied due to lack of ambition.which I should get back someday soon.I surmise he(her) removed it due to the "limb er icks" told while waiting for MMS to come and give a jump for a dead battery. The origin of the name probably comes from the fact that it's wood, old, might need repair;hence everytime you go out-you go "Out On A Limb".But it's not as bad as it sounds,I usually tow a few boats in each year that are newer and better?

so when we went fishing we had to bet on that also
we bet on
first fish
most fish
biggest fish
just like in baseball
we always wanted to win the TRIPLE CROWN
so thats how my name came up
whenever we still go out fishing 25 years later-we are still trying to get the bragging rights of the TRIPLE CROWN

My boat's name is "Fish - n - Faith". Hoping and Praying that my wife hasn't sold my boat before I get home from work, good thing the boats in my name. It's getting harder and harder to convince her it's still a "family boat", when I keep updating rod holders, rods, downriggers, etc.
She's starting to warm up to my bigger boat ideas (I currently have a 19'). I got the o.k. right after she remodels the bathrooms, kitchen, and add an attached garage, and after both kids are thru college  ;) .

Good one. Does anyone call for you on the VHS with that name, or do they ask for Steinfishski ? BTW, I heard someone calling for you out of Muskegon the other day.
