not quite what you are looking for but i'll let it rip. i own a 1995 1930 lowe.It had a leak that was repaired by the previous owner and is fine. One of the livewell lines leaks when you run the pump and is annoying ,but livable. lowe builds a decent ,but not great boat. The parts are low end off the rack, like atwood and springfield, so replacements are easy to find. The fit and finish is average and the layout is good. i got a shorelander trailer with mine which is great. Lowe seems to give you a good value and the resale is decent for a mid to low priced boat.I would buy it over a Tracker or Spectrum ,but feel that Alumacraft, lund or Starcraft build a better product.i bought mine used this year and have been reasonably satisfied.Lowe was bought again this year for the third time in 5 years by Brunswick Corp. owners of Bayliner. They were formerly owned by Genmar so thats what company would have built your boat.In 2000 when O.M.C. went broke they were an O.M.C. brand.Try to check the warranty so you don't get stiffed if they get sold again.I like the fact that the boats are ALL ALUMINUM with no fillers . Mine weighs 2000 pounds as a complete package with 90 horse johnson and trailer. I hope this helps your decision and write me if you have any more questions. I researched a lot after i bought mine.better late than never. lol Dan ;)
Don't buy a Starcraft.
Take it from a man who owns one. They are stiffing me on warranty issues.

:) its pretty funny that we got into it a little over the tracker qualities issue, but you seem to realize that we are on the same side of the fence. I was just trying to report what i had seen of tracker ( although I must have got up on the wrong side of the bed that day) and then we both find out that each of us owns tin cans.Has starcraft slipped in quality? I owned an islander in 1991 and it was a wonderful boat but carpet and trim wore out fast. I also do not want to remortgage my home to buy a lund. I look at this way. Fishing is a hobby to me so i treat it as such . it gives me pleasure and these forums give me a chance to share the knowledge i have learned in 20 years of boat ownership. In the end i only want to help. amen Dan
