Finally got the new toy in the water.

1985 26 Ft. Sea Ray Weekender. Not exactly the ultimate fishing machine but a good family boat. So far I am very pleased. Time to get it slimed. ( Shhh.. don't tell my wife ;)

Very nice downrod!! Looks very similar to MIne :) I recently just purchased a 23ft. 86' Sea Ray Weekender...so far I love it! I wanted something so the wife would have a bathroom and I could still fish out of it !! I am sure you will enjoy your purchase....( even more so then the misses) :D

Very nice, congrats!

That looks pristine, did the previous owner ever use it?

She's pretty clean Paul. There has never been bottom paint on the boat. Now I just need to mount some rod holders.

Nice boat Downrod ! I've always appreciated the SeaRay line too. My sister and B-I-L have I believe a 26' or 28' Sundancer. Really nice rig, twin I/O's, runs/rides well.

Great rig Frank!! The wife and I were checking out those Sea Rays last weekend. They make great family/fishing boats. I really like them for dual purpose.

Have fun with her!

I've had mine for 15 seasons....the first thing I did was rip off that wooden
rail on the back and had a taller rail installed that would hold rod holders, a
graph and drink holders....

Also, that back top does not have to be removed. It can be kept on and
stored up against the front top which I leave up all season. Just flip the
back mounts all the way over, get some matching color bungy cord, and
the top will stay in place ....I never use it...I went and had a cover made
that connects from the front top and slopes down to the back...its faster and easier to put on, requires no pole and drains completely...

If your interested in more detail, send me a PM and maybe I can show you
my rig ....that is if you have some spare cash to spend!

Your gonna love that boat--my wife and daughters have enjoyed mine for years!!! :D

Thanks for the info, Keducation.

That sounds like the right way to store the camper top. I am looking at possibly replacing the wooden rails on the transom with a board that can accomadate downriggers as well as saltys. I would like to set something up that is easily removable. I have looked at some of the Berts tackle rodholder systems. They look pretty nice but are a bit pricy.

Good luck with your boat.
