Turbo Nock Hunter Vane - A+
NAP Nitron - A+
Being part of Team Turbo Nock I was curious on what broadhead I was going to use this fall for hunting. After lots of indecision I finally put my thoughts behind the NAP Nitron.
At first look this head is very small looking. Once I got a three pack home from my local Cabela's store (I only live 15 miles west of the Dundee, MI store), I opened them up.
My second observation is the fact they are VERY SHARP out of the box. Let me tell you you don't need much pressure to shave the hairs off your arm.
My third observation is the fact they have one continuous steel ferrule from tip to the end of the insert thread. These broadheads look VERY STRONG and DURABLE. The blades are individually locked down with one screw. The screws are tiny I might add as well.
Yesterday, I took my Morell Six Shooter out in the backyard and tried shooting my Beman ICS Hunters tipped with the Nitrons into the target. I am pulling back about 68# on my Mathews Outback and have the Turbo Nock Hunter vanes as well.
On my NFAA Five Spot target I hit the 5-Spot on all three targets with two Dead X's. This was consistent at 30 yards as well. Therefore, these baby's definitely fly like by 100 pt field tips with no need for any form of tuning adjustment.
What a great combination! The Turbo Nock is a great new innovation by Nick Snook and is not some fad that will go away. The T Nock by virtue of the added arrow spin is very accurate and with a small broadhead like the Nitron hooked on the tip, it proves to be a deadly combination this fall.
