Why would you buy a tracker. They are the cheapest aluminum boat built. if I were you I would take it out to the deepest part of superior and let it do what what all trackers do. SINK sorry to be so blunt ,but those cheaply built boats all leak.thats why the pro team gets a new one each year.I recently met a guy who worked on the tundra and said that they used lots of body puddy to fill in the voids.I saw one at the Detroit show and the Hull lines were all crooked and looked like they were filled with bondo.A $40000 dollar piece of junk if you ask me. now the good news. If you can get both sides of the leak you can fix it yourself with 2 people. do a search for rivet repair in this site. we covered that topic quite extensively this spring. If you do not feel comfortable doing it yourself you can take it to tracker sales and services on baldwin road in pontiac and show them my letter and they will fix it for free out of sympathy for you.I'm quite sure that they have plenty of experience with their fine products. sorry you feel that way,I love my bass tracker. It has the 2003 new hull design and it doesnt leek at all.Never had water come out after I pulled the plug. And the only time the auto-bilge ever kicked in is when i took some water over the back drifting for eyes.

just to show that my perspective is honest , I own a tin can. it is a 1995 lowe. it also had a leak, but not from rivets.i also just repaired an old gamefisher that lost a rivet near the seat spar.and I used to go out with my buddy mike in (the wreck) a 1978 starcraft that leaked so bad that we had to put her out to pasture last year.I have loved aluminum boats for a long time and researched them for years before I bought the HEAT SEEKER .I was repeatedly told by many sources that TRACKER boats are notoriously prone to leaks.Remember that that is not the end of the world when a boat leaks. as with everything else , the repair is usually quite easy. I think the stress of knowing the boat leaks is worse than the leak. Been there done that. The reel problem has been the poor responce of Tracker to fix the leaks for free.Lets see if you have any better luck than I have read about. I am going to start a thread in that direction. HEAT SEEKER OUT

hey, i don't care which brand of boat you prefer..knock it around the backroads, play dodgeball with stumps, skip over bars, bang it off the rocks, they are all subject to some problems! aah, but ain't that the fun? Battle scars and memories...sweet..after all, you're not taking it with you in the casket or urn!....
Thank you for your most helpful input Double Trouble.
We will all be certain to consult with you before making any purchases in the future.
If tearing into someone elses choice of boat didn't elevate your woeful self esteem, perhaps you could go help someone in one of our other forums regarding their choice of equipment. :bash:

Just cause i have had some bad experiences with tracker , don't lay into me too hard. besides , i didn't tell the whole story. in the spring of 99 i was going fishing with Keith Kavajacz and his brand new tracker targa that was 3 weeks old.the trailer jack failed and the trailer tongue landed on my boot, breaking my foot.I was in a cast 8 weeks and still have trouble with it. I could not sue because tracker was an outstate company and we would have needed expert witnesses to travel to their state.although , it was a part not related to the boat itself it left a reel bad impression of the whole tracker team.I have followed the company through their many mis-steps ,but realize that Tracker is the worlds best selling boat just like bayliner was in the 1980's. I'm not sure if my negative attitude toward tracker is totally justified, but let their product quality and resale value speak for itself over the long run. in other words'"BUY A LUND" Thanks for listening Dan
