Just read an article in W & W about guys using jet divers and spoons with success. Have used Dipsys and Big Jon discs but have not had a great amount of luck. I think they said #40 jets 60 back would put your spoon at approx. 22-23 fow and I thought it said they were running these off big boards. Wondering if anyone has tried this set up. Can't recall anyone talking about these before for walleye.DC

Tried on Erie about a month ago. Worked great, spoons were better even pulled crawlers harnes's behind them. Most body baits (Hot-N-tots, Thundersticks, ...) did change the action though. What amazed me was how they run straight, right out of the box. No tuning required. Our best those 3 days was a colored one, chrome caught fish but not as many..... Give them a try, they are worth it.

I have used the 30 Jets with good results on both Saginaw Bay and Lake Erie.
Crawler harnesses mainly on the Bay, both spoons and harnesses on Lake Erie.
One thing I want to try is using the Jets in Cold Front conditions with Raps or Thundersticks behind them.

Thats the only program I run when I troll on Lake Erie. I use jet 20's and 40's pulling michigan stinger spoons. I run these jets off of big boards that I made myself. They put walleyes in the boat fast. Its a really neat way to fish. Give em a try, you will get hooked on em...

Hey guys-Thanks for the feed back. Bought a couple and will give them a try this week end. No one talked color so i got the clear, if that does not work I will try some tape. Length of leader I am not sure so I'll start at 4-5 feet and adjust from there. If the weather cooperates I will post results on monday. Stay safe out there. DC

Usually I run my leaders at 6 foot. Some guys like them the length of the rod, so about 7.5 to 8.5 feet are also used. I personally have no color preference persay on the jets. If they are active I will use the metallic and very bright colors, if they are in a nuetral mood, i will throw the towned down colors like wonderbread and solid non metallic colors...and if they bite is very tough, I will use the clear jet diver. I have not heard anybody really say that one color jet diver really makes a difference, at least not for me on the western basin of Lake Erie. Hope that helps...
