Bite,
I would love to share some info with you regarding the October bite, but I bet last years bite the first week of October will be different than this years. Once September rolls around, start checking this site to see what is happening. I think a trend will have been established and will carry us through the fall bite. Last season...I ran boards in 4-8' FOW followed by Old Jr. Thundersticks in the perch pattern and had a ton of fun. Also Bombers/Reef Runner Little Rippers/Yozuris/Smithwick Rogues...maily in firetiger/natural perch/various prizms. I'll give a report whan we get some cooler water temps.

We used to grab cabins every year around the end of August. We would all fish the deep hole off the big point on the NorthWest end of the lake. I got these releases from some guys from Ohio that used to fish that same week with us, and they called these releases " KITES ". They would get your baits down into the 30 foot depths and that seemed to be the trick. If you have a good fish graph, you'll see the water depth the fish are in. Concentrate on getting your presentation down to these depths and you'll get some nice walleyes.(They taste so good out of that deep water on that lake) . Good luck and don't forget some lighted bobbers and floating rapalas for at night in shallow off that point. We had some of our best catches later in the evening trolling the shallows 5 - 10 ft. as the sun was setting with floating rapalas. Gold with orange bellies. Look for the outside weed edges.
