Well we got out on the River Tuesday after work around 4:00pm. We went straight to our tried and true stretch of the river and fished it for 3 hours and picked up 3 walleyes. A 16” and 17” drifting and 21” trolling. Nothing real hot and heavy.
About 7:00 we pulled line and started looking for new flats on the river that held some fish. We found some great looking areas that should be holding fish but only had time to drift a couple of them once. We picked up some trash fish in these areas but we ran out of time to fish it hard for Eyes.
I will be back out tonight, tomorrow and Friday morning hitting these areas hard looking for that honey hole to fish in for the Walleye War Tournament on Saturday.
If any of you are planning on fishing in this tournament stop by and say hi. I will be the one with the 17' smoker craft with a 115hp Yamaha that has RUNNING ARENDS posted on the sides of the boat. Oh I also wear a cap that has RUNNING ARENDS on it.
