Hello everyone - Well I missed out out on the big store sale at the Gander Mountain in Flint over the last month. In the next month I am looking to buy several stands. I have a number of places where I want to set up multiple stands for filming purposes. I was wandering if anyone new of sites or stores that tend to have good deals on lightweight aluminum stands that are at least somewhat comfortable. I going up to my property in the the next weeks and would like to have them for that trip. If I could get a deal around 50$ or less for each that would be great.
Thanks

You probibly won't find aluminum stands for that much but I just bought a pretty decent steel stand from Walmart for $45.00. I believe it was called the Razorback and it has a 25X :p 30" platform.

Natchez Shooting sports usually has the best price on stands that I've seen. Check them out.

I still have a nice climber stand for sale that's brand new in the box. Was around $250 retail, I'll let it go at $150 at this point. PM me if interested.

I have a lot of scattered properties and have a hard time keeping enough stands around as well. I've lost stands as well and don't want to spena fortune only to have "pocher and trespasser" reap the benefits so.... I picked up a couple of these last year as they were at Cabela's for the same price (cheap) and they work fine. More comfortable than many higher priced ones...but a bit heavy if you move them all over. Heck for the price though you cant' beat them. Quiet too.

I used to be like you guys. 7 stands, 1 climber. What I got tired of was finding beer cans and candy wrappers at my stands on private land. Point is when you are not around there is always a chance somebody has found your stand and may steal your stand or even worse start hunting out of your stand.
I still have the 7 stands, but mostly use my climber or better yet my hang on stand. I have a Chippewa Wedge Lok Brute--light as a feather and easy to hang, strong and quiet.

There is always that chance to have stands stolen. Knock on Wood, but I have never had that problem. I hunt on all private land and have good neighbor's at each location. In any case though if they are stolen I'm only out 30-50 bucks. I have a half dozen real nice spots that I want to do some filming with my hunting partners during some hunts.
Thanks for all the input

TruShot, are the straps on the stand a ratchet style strap or is it the type that fold over and lock? I looked at those stand online a couple of days ago and was considerign a couple. I like a big platform, but I would probably be comfortable on that platform.
I also have the Chippewa Wedge Loc Brute and I believe it is the best portable stand money can buy, they aren't cheap, but man are they rock solid.

If I did get some of these i would probably modify them a little. Put a plate on the supports with a slot in it to utilize a T screw for easing up the install process.

Mine aren't that exact model...mine are all chains that I upgrade and add a longer chain to and a lock as well as an aftermarket rachet to the bottom for stability.

Well, Here's what happened. After doing some shopping around I found some Big Boss stands 24 x 32 platform for 59.99 at Cabela's. I drive by Bass Pro everyday and thought I would check their out there stands. They had the same stand for 79.99. I talked with a manager there and showed him the deal on the same stand at Cabela's. He went ahead and price matched them for me and I bought the last 3 they had in stock.
So just some advice... Neither one of these places want to lose a sales, so it pays to talk to those managers.
Ending Deal...

Tree suit or tree saddle. Never buy another stand again.
