Middle Channel for Eyes!!!!

Finally got out to do some bouncin on the Middle and came up with 1 eye and 1 Smallie. Had some motor problems early and finally got it started, had a air lock in gas take, no gas getting to motor. started fishing around 9:00 and picked up those fish right away, then nothing. Talked to Mrs. Minick at store and she said a guy that works for her got his limit chugging that morning. So their in the middle but got to get them early. Called out for a couple M-S members with no response, you know who you are, I guess I'm not in the "click" for them to talk to!!!!!!! Nice Buzzzzzzzz

Home repairs are done so I can now go catch walleye, great report, sorry to hear about the engine stuff.

I ended up getting out Sunday morning. Talked my Dad into going handlining with me. We trolled the middle between Browns, and the middle channel party store. Ended up with three 'Eyes, a huge sheepshead, 2 nice smallies, and a rocky. Believe it or not, the hot hot bait was McGinnies. (sp?) Blue and Silver with a white twister tail. Of the three eyes, 2 of them were only 8-10 inchers and went back. The keeper was a nice 17 inch male that was packed full with minnows when we cleaned it. Could explain why the chuggin bite was so hot. All fish came before 9:00. The wind kicked up a bit around then, and we started getting beat up by the cruisers so we called it a morning. Also took a few of the fish on spoons.

No biggy Tube, I just thought it was kind of un-kind when I went to call a particular person because I was on the perch, to tell them and no reply. Maybe they couldnt hear me, but my radio has alot of Power and 9 times out of 10 if I can hear them they can hear me, Its all good!!!!! Thanks for the report Scale, the middle up there hasnt heated up at all yet, should be any time. Thinking about heading out Saturday or Sunday, but you wouldnt believe it but I had another best girl freind from High school and college die of breast cancer yesterday, 37 years young. Just too much death testing my Soul latley!!! so I dont know what the Funeral arrangments are going to be, but i sure would like to be where i am at peace!!!!! Fished the middle channel and caught 3 eyes and lost one, bounceing lead off the bottom.

JG, what time did you get your fish? I got out late, but got my fish right away and then nothing. let me know!!!

It was in the morning between 7 and 8:30 all of them were caught in the same spotas we drifted over it.

MUSHY1, it was probably that your radio did'nt reach far enough, I am kind of a new guy and at first I thought that it was a click thing, but have learned that the guys that you want to hear from and know where the fish are, are always very help full.

I think the thing is that the fish aren't really hot any where and most of the guys are spread out looking for the hot spots.

I personally have been fishing between 9pm and 5am. Believe me the guys that you want to know will answer. Just wait till ice fishing.

Depending on the weather/winds I will be fishing the lake tomorrow night (Trolling) or the St Clair River (Hand lining) from 9:00pm till sun rise Saturday morning.

Have'nt had too much luck lately but I never give up.

Hey Tin Can, its just been a couple of emotional weeks for me and im just feeling sorry for myself, death will do that to a man....Its all Good. They probabley didnt hear me, your right. Anyway another funeral today, for the best women and freind a man good have. She just always smiled, and thats worth everything in this world. But to better things, fishing the end of the Middle tomorrow, in hopes of some delicious wallters, i will put a report on monday, good luck handlining, keep on them they will go!!!!

Ya MUSHY1 sorry about the loss, Hopelly they will turn on tonight. I keep thinking that everbody gets on them at sometime or another, and my time will come. Good luck on the middle channel.
