7-18 slow afternoon

Fished our one "hotspot" this afternoon with hopes of a nice bunch of perch...started off good with 3 nice big perch and a couple of 3-4lb. smallies....then the drought came...could only manage 1 more perch...had about 4 more to the boat only to fall off lifting in!! Oh well better luck tomorrow...I have the whole week off work so can hit them good hopefully!

Bought my first boat yesteday and launched today across from eddies (think yall refer to it as crocker but not sure) we covered from beacons cove to 9 mile tower and back various depths from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and only produced 4 perch 1 rockbass and a smallie that was to small.

Marked fish constantly and could not get em to bite. My question is I couldnt get shiners lakeside was all out of them so I got the bigger perch minnows, do the perch prefer the shiners or the bigger minnows?

How should I set up for walleye fishing on LSC and where?

I am all new to LSC fishing so anytips would be a great help

We have been doing very good on the perch out from 9 mile to 8-mile....shiners on perch rigs....you can get shiners at the gas docks at michigan Harbor...BP gas dock...... We will be back out tomorrow morning after perch.....I do not have a trolling motor so I just go for perch for now....only get the ocassional walleye when drifting...This is also my first year on this lake with my Own boat.....All I ever did in the past was ice fishing...was always to busy in the summer to fish :sad: Hopefully by next spring I will have a trolling motor for my boat!

I had a boat full of people yesterday, drove only about 1 mile off of JB 15 f.o.w. trolling green. one eye and 10 big perch with another 10 throw backs. one smbass and one rock bass. all within one hr. of trolling.
