I know the feeling. This stuff has gotten way too complicated.

One of these days, I may have to just buy a recurve. :cwm27:

Sometimes you just have to wonder, wouldn't jumping out of the treestand wearing a loincloth with a flint blade clenched in your teeth be a lot easier?

My old Hoyt bow is so heavy I've often thought I could drop it on a deer for a kill ;)

Hang in there deputy. I was at my wits end a few weeks ago and now I feel as though I have the best bow I've ever shot. Check and then double check all the basics and ol betsie will be shooting great before you know it.

Don't get frustrated. Bring it out here and enjoy a nice relaxing dinner while I set your rig up...no extra charge :D

I did the same thing with a Nextel phone about four years ago. It's still in the ditch next to US127 just north of Addison.

I shot traditional for many years, but a shoulder injury caused me to return to the compound briefly last year. Not only is this compound making my shoulder worse, but I almost got dizzy wrenching on it the first week I had it. Bottom line, I am selling all the compound stuff and returning to my longbows and recurves.

I know how you feel about the frustration. This is supposed to be FUN  Hang in there, you will eventually get it sorted out, and the struggles are quickly forgotten.

You know, this thread has given me another opportunity to share more pictures, especially with the image of Kelly in an apron    Well, maybe I will cut him some slack on this one, or then again . . . .

I've been going throug the "bullet-hole blues" with my hatchet-cammed Darton. My old round-wheel could bullet-hole if I shot meat-forks out of it. But the aggressive cams are not quite as forgiving.

But all is better now. It's shooting like a rifle.

I've fiddled with several drop-aways (GKF Power Drop -problematic; GKF TKO - has potential) and settle on TT Shakey Hunter; I've gone to carbon arrows; new broadhead (mzzy 4blde 100grn).....and most important, after spending all that money on new gear .......my local pro told me in 6-seconds what my problem was.

His Question: "why is your serving double-served"? 'You've got awful nock pinch"
My Answer: "I dunno" ....didn't know it was.
His Response: "let me re-serve it for you"
Result: 20 minutes later I couldn't get that rig to NOT shoot bullet holes.

I took it the club's sand pits to test-drive broadheads....and was zipping them 1-2-3 into 3x5 index cards at 25yds. I'm feeling like King of the World.

I'm not around on Tues Steve...any other day. I'll PM you my cell.

Dan...I look great in an apron. I'm a cook bro...I spend more time in an apron than camo. And that's a LOT!LOL!! You should really try a wheely though. If you can get through the draw cycle on that Pat...sounds like it's the drop at rollover that's torquing you. The wheeloes are smoooooth all through. No Bumps. I have that PSE you can shoot if you ever get down this way.

Now Kelly, you know that is not the type of apron I am thinking of

The nextel has actually been thrown a few time and many time I have been glad the window on the car was up. I just cant figure out what I would tell the boss... um yep the thing just jumped out the windows.

Good luck Deputy. Want me to stop by and laugh at you for a while? You can return the favor in a few weeks when I finally buy new shafts and fletch them up.

deputy, I hate to say it but I havent touched that stock yet. I have to get it ready for sure before this fall she wants to do some shooting. Im thinking of doing it myself just to save on time and actually get it done.

You saw that litle girl I had with me she has gotten older and as that is happening the free time is getting shorter and shorter. We do need to get together though and fling some arrows soon.
