Pulled pencil plugs in front of Stag Is. and in front of the power plant last night. Not one hit. :o

Worked both places pretty hard, Tried getting on top of the shallows in front of Stag but kept getting hooked up on weeds, thus tried to maintain 14 to 31 foot of water while working the shelf.

Got in real tight by the power plant and then would slide out to about 32 - 33 foot. worked up river and down river (in front of the condos/docks) of the plant but avoided the areas that have all the signs saying DO NOT ANCHOR>

I tell ya what though, a freighter went by and man he was cruisin. He left what I would estimate a 7 to 8 foot wake. I have never had to endure such a large wake from a freighter (This was at 1:30am). I would swear that my boat was almost standing on its bow (I was sitting on the back looking staight down at the water), motor up out of the water, then naturally after they pass they hit the shore and come back at you. I just hung on.

Pulled my lines up, and the shank, and leads were all twisted up.

About six freighters went by in total, hardly even knew that the others went by.

None the less, the river was calm, no winds, and the motor just hummed a melody that made it a great night.

Heading to St. Clair to night. I may have to head back to the Detroit River next week end just to get some fish
