Gee Czar, are you tired of catching limits and need the break? lol.I had a friend up there over the 4th, he wasn't real happy with the size of fish he was taking(eye and pan), but then again I doubt he has your talent behind a reel!

Thanks for the compliment, Shametamer. I don`t know about limits everytime out but I try. LOL. This will be our 9th year up in Curtis and we still love it. It`s not really just for the fishing but for the getaway more than anything. Curtis is so cool a place too. There is somthing for everyone. Fishing, shopping, tubeing, sight seeing, and even casinos if ya got money to burn. We stay right in town on the lake and it`s great. Everything is within walking distance. 2 resturants, 2 icecream shops, 2 tackle shops, 2 bars, the best pizza in the world and I even got a massage one year. Now that`s livin large. LOL. This year there are 5 families with 9 kids going up with 2 boats, (of course I`m bringing the Czarbarge), and 2 jetski`s and we get a boat with our cabin that I bring a spare trolling motor for. Campfires everynight, hangovers every morning, LOL. Just kidding. I`ll make sure to post results when we return.

Musky? hmmm....in all my years there iv'e hooked maybe 3 and landed 2..both in the 30+inch range not large but fun! 1 i took in wolf bay, the other was taken in last?or first? cove at the southwest end..the hook up came to the west side of the big island at southend(near launch), both the landed fish came on large bucktails, the hook up was on a suick..in yooper i cast 90% of the time..like s.manistique trollin at 3 to 5 mph, you hit the shallows(with rocks) it can be a prop eater.Paul(esox) was sayin he does well pitchin 'tiger tubes',so i picked up a few, will try them in yooper this year! Bucktails i prefer have chartruese or orange/yellow combo blades..suicks i like in perch or firetiger.Guys on this site, tell me they don't use steel leaders on st. clair when trolling...i always have.trolling or casting...Had wench research books.one fish caught 1;30 p.m. sunny light winds 82 degree..other caught 2;45 sunny light winds 84 degrees..hook up sunny medium winds 3;30 78 degrees...bout all the info i have!..p.s. Did see a 25 lber washed up, dead on north shore once......

We stay at The Northshore. It`s right at the bridge. This is our 9th year and we have always stayed there. We have 5 families going with up this year. The kids take over Curtis. LOL

Spent last week up there at our cabin. Caught a few eye's, about 12 pike, and a 20" muskie, but none legal size. fished with harnesses, floating jigs, and rapala's. Drifting and trolling. Went to the rapala's cause all the little bait stealers  . Plenty of gills to keep the kids busy, but you have to work to get enough of keeping size.

We used to go to Gordons, also right at the bridge. We stayed in that lodge and it was great, maybe I will finally make up there this year again.
