Weather permitting, I'm going to head out of The Raisin River on saturday. Probably head out in front of Brest bay or fermi. Are people still hitting walleye or should I start targeting the perch? I have a 17 footer, so I don't head out too far (west/middle sister). Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have been wondering that too... I am headed down sat thru tue, camping at sterling, so we will be hitting them hard. I don't think that too many people have been out the last couple of days cause of the weather... Hope these NW winds today will push the weeds out outta there.
i fished out of sterling last friday, saturday, and sunday. took my limit of walleyes all three days trolling bottom bouncers and crawlers straight out of the park. i was fishing in 27 feet of water. a lot of silver bass and big sheephead to keep you busy. i kept one line right on the bottom and the other was about four feet off the bottom. i saw some people cleaning perch, but have no idea where they caught them. hope this helps.

the weeds may be a pain in the butt :dizzy: but last tuesday I limited out in the weeds bottom bouncing in an hour and a half. never caught a fish in the clean water. also caught probably 10 perch and missed more in the same area off the point ;)

Thanks for the information. Just found out yesterday that my wife could give birth any day. Thus, I think my fishing plans are voided. Might as well winterize my boat.
