Did my usual "walking the wall" along Black Creek for a few hours early this afternoon with waxworms on a size 16 black knat fly below 2 small splitshot...Ened up getting about 15 keepers between 7.5 and 9". The weeds along the wall made staying right along the wall difficult...Then the downpour hit and sent me scurrying for the car...Wanted to try the point, never made it out there...Does anyone know if they're doing anything out at the point??? (Lawnboy)

Anyway, all my gills were caught between the 2 harbor master booths between 305 and 315...Down further, nothing. Closer in, zilch

My other question is: Do they charge for the ride out to the point in their little train???

If I remember correctly, It is 50 cents for a ride out but the ride in is free...

I wish they ran that thing during mid-October ;) ...That walk sucks and can be a waste on a bad day...

Conner I work Sunday and I’m sure that there will be a number of fishermen out there, if I can get a few minutes I’ll do a quickie survey for you. I will tell you that if you go all the way in front of the gazebo right before dark the walleyes will come in and I’ve heard that they do fairly well on tube jigs.

Also it is .50 going out and free coming back in on the train.

Thanx for the train info and I'll be looking forward to your findings...

This time of the year, you would cast off the new deck, towards the channel for the stray eye, and that would be dawn or dusk, particularally in the fall. Metropark hours suck for shore fishermen, Connor, PM me with a ph #.

Yeah, the park should stay open till 10:00 like most of the others do...I've gotten out to the point a half hour before daylight in the fall and get walleyes on the minnows being used for perch...That spot in my opinion with the bait fish in there during the fall would be the #1 place on the whole lake to cast for 'eyes...Esox, I'll PM you when I get home tomorrow with my phone# gotta run...
