Finger release the new compound

I have a problem with a new single cam buck, I do not seem to to be able to shoot this bow with fingers. I had previously shot a bear grizzlly for a couple decades fingers only, and was accomplished with it. I've tried different releases an don't like em. I've ruined a dozen arrows trying to get that buck to shoot consistant. If I don't come up with something soon I'll have to go back to the slower Bear. Thanks in advance for any input.

#1, if you were happy with your old bow then why change? If it shot good then you should stick with it.

#2, finger shooters will have a hard time with the faster bows being the string winds so much and your arrows fish tail.

Did you look into the Tru Caliper 3 Finger release? this one (http://www.trufire.com/trucaliper.html)

Robow I'd like to know if there is any thing that can be done to the bow that will allow me to use fingers. One eye I'll measure it when I get home tonight. thanks

If your new bow is a lot shorter than your old one that is your problem. I shot fingers for 20 years and had to switch to a release because my new bow was so much shorter. I feel a long bow is more forgiving, and with a shorter one I felt like my fingers were pitched. This is only my thoughts. :)

38 inches is going to be a challenge to shoot with fingers. I like something at leasr 41 inches for fingers. I agree that if you are going from a longer bow, you are going to experience issues. Finger pinch will be the main problem, and I suspect you will not get away from it with the 38 inch bow.

Thanks for the advise looks like I should go back to the old bow. I wanted to stay away from the release because I enjoy stalking. Mostly in chest waders waist high in water. Most of my oppurtunities come with little or know warning, and I only have seconds to get the shot. I'm afraid using a release would slow me down. Oh well live and learn, that new bow may have been a waist of money.
