I can't beleive it, I leave Friday morning for Nelsonville to shoot the final leg in the IBO National Triple Crown, and return to find a brand spanken new Archery Discussion forum...at the top of the list to boot :lol: . Well, I'd just like to send a big thanks to those in support of this and who likewise voiced there opinions to get this Archery Discussion Forum. You guys all rock.

How'd you shoot Bry?

Man I shot great, I've never shot so straight and true and my life, it was like I was possesed. However, and this is a big however, my bread and butter of yardage decided to run out of gas on me. I'll admit it right now, my ability to pinpoint a targets yardage is my strong point, it's what gives me the edge on my competitors...but I lost it, and I lost it bad. I mean, I was shooting 28 yard targets for 22...I swore they were 22, bam, right off the bat I shoot a 5. Perfect line, just low. I was either high or low all day, never left or right...always high and low. Of all 40 targerts, I was never left or right of the 11. If I would have had my yardage down I could have very well won...I could have very well shot 30 or more up. Instead I shot 15 down. But I'm not angry, I'm extatic. My arrows were flying true and accurate...for the ranges I was shooting for anyways. I just had a brain fart for yardage and that's something I can eventually control. All in all it was worth the 8 hour drive :) , the scenery was beautiful...I mean seriously, Hocking Hills College is one of the nicest places I have ever been...and that's saying a lot because it is in Ohio after all :evil: . The terrain was bar none the best I have ever traversed while shooting in competition. I'm looking forward to next year. This was the last hurah for my 3d shooting this year and now it's time to turn over the bow to hunting. Which is only a change in arrows and a retune.

Cool! I'm the opposite....I can put the arrow where I aim but can't judge yardages for bunk. I need 1 full summer of 3D every weekend or a serious month with a rangefinder or something.
