perch fishing from shore

Can anyone tell me where a good place is to fish for perch from shore with my 11 year old son.We live in clinton Township and do not have a boat. I dont know the area real well but my son and i love to catch all fish. Is stony with a canoe an option.

You might want to try Brandenburg Park. Just south of 23 Mile on Jefferson. They have a long dock there, haven't been there recently. Good Luck!
