all are good choices. I'd stick with the harnesses. in that area I wouldn't use a drop sinker or bottom bounder. just drift or troll from 14 fow to 7 fow using harnesses and a inline sliding sinker (the type of sinkers used in texas rigs) place this sinker about 5 to 6 foot above the harness and set your speed to slow. If the wind is from shore start there in shore start deep. use a tinny split shot to keep your sliding sinker 6 foot above your worm. let out enough line without holding the rod until you see your sinker ticking the weeds. you'll get bass Walleye and perch this way and cover lots of water. A lot of guys are saying the walleyes are not in the area. I think they are in the weeds, eating all those little perch fry we saw Ice fishing.
On the trip home I'd drive close enough to shore so the weeds are 4 to 5 foot from the surface throw two long A bombers out (or large jointed raps) and troll home. It makes a nice trip when the waves get a little messy and you'll have a decent chance at a Sky/pike or bass. Good luck let us know how it turns out.

I wish I would have went w/ my first thought and tried down that way. Instead we launched at SANG and tried trolling for some slimey critters around the Salt river and then went out around Grassy island and trolled harnesses. Nothing happening at either spot for us. We also tried by New Balt. for a while and picked up a few smalll perch. We did catch a few nice sunnies and some more small perch around Cotton on the way in. Good luck and if we go out in the a.m we will be down that way also. One nice smallmouth was picked-up drifting. I think I would follow Ed's advice, he seems to catch a fish or two ;) . Get a early start, that area w/ be busy tomorrow.

Thanks.

Well. we got a bunch of perch and a few bass using the crawler harness with weight method. No Walleye but oh well we had fun.
We fished 400 tower to 12 mile in 12 - 14 fow. How did everyone else do.

We fished the St. Claire Light area. Trolled cranks and harnesses looking for walleye. Only 1 muskie to show. We moved to Harsens and casted for pike, and found a few. Not a very good day.
