I am very sad this week, my best fishing buddy Matt, he went under the name on this web site "Compromise" died july 4, 2004. We think he died of a brain anurisum (sp). He was only 33 years old. A man that loved fishing and duck hunting more that anything, and would of gave you the shirt off his back. So if you could say a prayer for him and his family, he sure will be missed by me and alot of other people.

Live it up!!!

"There e is" was what he said all the time!!!! :(

Sorry to hear of your loss. 33 is way to young to be checking out. Always seems to happen to the good guys! The only positive thing I can think of is that kind of "failure", it should have been short and with out much pain or suffering. I'll say a little extra prayer for him and his family tonight.

GEEZ! Sorry to hear about him. It's always hard to lose someone close, and especially someone so darn young! I lost my Mom in February after a long illness, and if there's one thing I've learned from it that I'll say to all of you here.......don't take anyone for granted....not your spouse, your relatives, your buddies, college roomates, dogs....NO ONE! Because when you least expect it, they're gone. It's a hard lesson to learn, but we all need that reminder now and then. :(

Mushy ,

My sincere condolences on the loss of your friend . I had a similiar situation
1&1/2 years ago losing my buddy Paul and I cannot go afield without thinking of him and getting a little choked up. I am very sorry for your loss and the pain that you must be feeling. Please keep his memory in your heart and take it out with you when you hunt and fish , our true friends never pass as long as their memory is held on to.

I did not know Matt, but I knew of him. My wife (Skula) however knew Matt and the Eidt family pretty well from Harsens Island. We offer many thoughts and prayers to family and friends.

God Bless!

Thanks for all the kind thoughts, its people like yourselves that make these kind of things easier to deal with. Matt was a big fan of this web site and all the insight "we" got from it. Its hard when you work hard all week and you have a couple hours to get away to fish, at least you can check the net before you go 'catchin' instead of 'fishin'. Having people you can talk to is what it is all about. Thats all I'm going to say about that

Live it up

I'll be heading to Erie this weekend and I'll be sure to think of Matt. Please remember to tell his family that we all send our condolences and if he had any kids, and they need someone to help get them in the outdoors, I know I would help.

Matt will be missed by those of us that worked with him.
His generosity was unmatched.
I shot sporting clays with him just one time and walked away a much better shooter... just because he was so generous with his knowledge.
