Don't trust the bait shops to give you information that is up to date.:rant: fished off of the grand haven pier for perch today yea the bait shop was right they were getting some nice perch. the only problem was that it was 4-5 day old information. got out a 7am no one had any fish and thats the way it stayed basically all day i ended up cathching a whopping 3 5in perch yes it was on fire out there:16suspect . i finally left a 12:30 with only seeing 6 more perch caught all day.

Wind changes can make the fishing change in an hour. Using a days-old report to pier fish is not very effective. Hopefully in the time you spent there, you met some local people who fish there a LOT, and exchanged phone numbers, so you can get the most up-to-date reports possible.

You should have at least had some interesting scenery for the day.

oh yea don't get me wronge it was still better than working or being at home
