Isle Royale may move headquarters
HOUGHTON - The future of the Isle Royale National Park headquarters may lie across the Portage Lake Shipping Canal in Ripley.
Officials from two national parks, Franklin Township and the City of Houghton met with the public Monday to discuss relocating the Isle Royale headquarters next to the old Quincy smelter.
It is now along the Houghton waterfront.
