Took Gone Fishing Larry out for the afternoon bite. Went 14 for 18. 11 :fish: Walleye, (one released) 1 smallmouth, 1 silver bass, 1 sheephead. Fished out in front of Fermie, best bite 20-22 fow. Took one on gold, silver blk, red, 1/4oz tot. took the rest on purple back, hot pink belly, white & blk ladder sides, wally diver (med size) and orange crush on gold spoon . Trolling 2.5mph. Cranks on the boards 150 back, spoon on the rigger 100 back 17 down. Mayflies aer horrible at Sterling. Second trip in a row no lights at the fish cleaning station, and dock and parking lot lights are few and far between, nice going DNR. Lots of walleye being cought. :D

yeah the place is a mess, the tie down area just about makes you lose your cookies. I wish watercraft would watch the channel better for boat speed. I would be rich if i had a dollar for everytime some jack*&* passed me in the no wake zone.Yesterday I finally got fed up with it and when we got to the dock I asked the idiot if it was worth passing all the boats just to wait in line.I watched my language because of his kids, but it was quickly evident that their dad taught them some choice words of wisdom that you don't hear in church

My buddy and each took a limit yesterday. It was a Hot' N Tot bite yesterday. I got one right away on Black and Gold right off the point, then SLOW as we trolled North. Picked up two more on a Stinger Spoon between Fermi and the Bananna Dike in 20 FOW but it was SLOW.
Picked up lines and headed back to the point and laid out a Hot' N Tot spread. Got the last seven on Tots. Anything with Chrome worked best. Red and Chrome, Black and Chrome, Lime and Chrome. We ran them with one ounce snap weights 20' ahead of the bait, and 100-125 back total. Got one fish that was probably 5 lbs and one that was probably 6 lbs. We trolled with the NW wind starting in 22 FOW to 24 FOW, 2.0 - 2.5 mph.
Here is my 6 pounder (we think)

I'll be out this Saturday we use Sterling also. Radio chatter on Erie is just as bad as anywhere else in the state. 68 and 72 are the most used. Maybe once contact with another M-S boat switch down 10 to 58? I know if any info is given over 68 ya end up with 20 boats attatched like they are welded. :dizzy:

We have that same problem over here on the west side. He started to use our cell phone to give out info to each other.

Sounds like a plan. We should be hitting the water on Thursday morning around 8:00am and be on it most of the weekend till noonish Sunday.

I'll be out on the weekend mornings if the weather cooperates. Water was
perfect this weekend. If you have an FRS radio, take it along and keep on
7 no code. I called on it this weekend, but no one seemed to be listening
to it. We got one fish on Saturday morning. Started in 24' off the stacks
out of Sterling, picked up a fish real quick, but the weeds were thick. Trolled
out and north toward the pack off Stoney Pt. Got out of the weeds, but got
out of the fish, too. Weren't marking squat. Headed back to our original spot
and started marking fish. Picked up 2 6" eyes, a sheep, and a couple perch.
About time to head in hooked into some sort of sea monster. It was ripping
off line like a salmon, but managed to cut the 30# Fire Line leader off the
Jet Diver. Best guess would be a good sized muskie. While we didn't catch
a lot, was a great morning to be on the water.
