I am looking for the site that gives you details on how to build your own trail cameras. I know it was on this site before, but I wasn't able to get back here soon enough to get all the information. If anyone can remember what that link is, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ultra Mag~here is the site. I have been collecting the parts and am about to start putting my first camera together. the Guys over at jesse's site have been a great help, they are willing to answer questions and help you out. Stop by their forum and go to the "Game Trail cameras and camcorders" forum if you need any help. I will be happy to help you in any way, Although I am electronically challenged.

Here is another site that has some good additional information on the subject but the site that Neil mentioned is the best that I have found so far.

Who was the person that told everyone how to make there own? Try looking as far back as you can in the forums.

I posted about it back in April.......since then I have been collecting the parts needed to make them......It has become an obsession not only to build one, but to do it as cheaply as I can.....I bought two of the cameras off e-bay for less that $50, Im still looking for the right Motion detector, you can buy them off the shelf in some states, but can't find them anywhere in others.......I figure when I'm done (barring any screw-ups) I can build two camera for about $100, after hanging around Jesse's site, and seeing some of the results of making your own camera, I can't wait to get my own built.

Thanks for all the help. I didn't mean to seem like an idiot on the computer but I haven't had the time to spend on this site in quite a while and I am still trying to figure it all out. I finally did figure out that you can search back farther by setting up the search parameters at the bottom of the forums.

I would have done a search on the net but I knew it was here at one time and I thought it was still in the current bunch of posts.

Next time I will try and be more thorough in my research before posting such obvious questions.

I've built three of them so far. They are kind of fun to build. If anyone is interested, I would be willing to assemble them for a small fee. I got pics back and they turned out excellent.

Scott- How well are they working out for you? Have you gotten a chance to use them in the field?

Adam,

I've got 2 rolls of film back so far. I first roll I had a little problem with the flash "washing-out" the corner of the pics. I got pics of racoon, oppossum, and the rest deer. I made a slight modification to how the camera mounts in the box, the second roll turned out great. The second roll were all deer. In a couple of the pics you can tell they are bucks. I haven't had the camera back out. The pics I got of bucks were taken May 9 & 12.

SFK~ Thanks for the info.....I am actually trying to find the regent MS20 or Mainstay 110 degree 70' Detector........I'm trying to build two cameras for less that $100 and these cost about $8-$9 each. I hear that wal-mart carries them, but i can't find them in the stores near me.........I just have to get off my butt and look harder. Thanks Again
