Well,
i am getting excited already. Have a trip planed to fletchers for the 22-24 and another for the 29-1st. I love to catch almost anything. The crappies, perch, gills, pike, and bass. Just wondering if anyone has been to the pond lately, and how it has been. Would like to know where the hot spots have been, what the fish have been hitting on, and what time of the day has been best. But of coarse if you dont want to tell your secret a little fishing report might be nice. thanks alot

Will be at Loyd's from 6/23 - 6/27, I've never fished the "Pond" but a guy in our group has. Look us up, we'll be in a burgundy Sea Nymph and staying on the north side of Loyds - my name is Rock and I'll be happy to share any and all tips that I pick up!!!

Best of luck

I was just up there last weekend. We caught some good fish (bass and pike) along the North shore east of Jacks. Primarily fishing with spinnerbaits and floating flukes. We we're not really equipted to do any gill fishing, but to changed the pace from casting for bass i put on a little mepps spinner and caught some nice panfish. We standed at Lyons Landing on the South West shore. This was my first trip up there, be ready to deal with stumps :yikes: . Of the 9000 acres I bet 5000 has stumps you can see and many that you can't.

Have a good time though and with a little bit of effort you should be abel to find fish.

Maybe i will see you up there, i am just renting a boat so i dont have to deal with using more gas and bringing mine up. I will be staying on the north side of lyons and in the 2 rental cabins. You cant miss my truck it is a red/black ram, with long bed and extended cab. See you there and if not good luck.

Well just got back today, both days the wind was kinda strong and it was a little cold out, had sweatshirts on most of the day. But anyways because of the wind and choppy water it made for hard panfishing and when it did calm down a little all we caugt were small panfish only ended up with about 20 keepers both days. So becuase of the wind and choppy water we mostly were fishing for pike and bass. I got all the small ones (probley 10 that were barely under 14") and my brother ended up catching 3 largemouths that measured 14.5", one 22" largemouth 4lbs, one 19" smallmouth 3lbs, and a 24.5" northern pike all on the same #2 mepps spinner. Funny thing is i tried many differant spinners and even the exact same one he was using and only caught the small one lol. I will be going back up again this next tuesday-thursday and put a report on how we did again.
