Going to vacation on SLL from June19-26. In past years, we have usually targeted walleyes, but given the late spawning season, I am wondering if the smallies are still in the spawn (or even prespawn) stage. I have my assortment of Taildancers, Wigglewarts and crawler harnesses for Walleye, but I wonder about spending time on the flats, hunting for smallies.
Any information or suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks,
DaveW

in years past, we have hit the lake when the bronzebacks were in that stage.....baby n's,luhr jensen krawdads, rebel crayfish, small jointed rapalas, silver spoons, little cleos(smaller sizes),tubes, silver clatter tads all worked for us..but i would bet a cast crawler harness would work also. Tail dancers were not on the market the last time we hit leelanau with smallies in pre spawn/spawn, but i think the smallest size would do just fine!
