Fished some lakes up just north of baldwin this weekend. when we fished Big Bass lake we got 12 really nice gills 2 10" and the rest were 9 and 8t's. but anyway in these gills had those black spots in the meat, and if seen the small one before but a few had really big one and when took out and smashed they had like mud in em. and i've never seen the grubs in gills the white one. i've seen them in sunfish but not gills any one know whats up with the grubs if the hurt if you eat one by accident or what?

just got back today from our trip, stoped at hamlin lake on the way back to find some panfish ended up with 37 8-8 3/4 maby a 9 here and there, but over all good fishing:D

as with the black dots, every now and then you find some perch in LSC with quite a few of them. THey don't hurt a thing. The bigger white grubs that are sometimes in sunnies and gills freak me out though, I try not to eat them. Seems that most of the waters I fish the sunnies have them quite often, and they are quite less prevalent in gills, but do happen from time to time. I hear that if you cook em through its no problem, but I just can't do it.
