Had a great weekend shore-fishing the lagoons at Sterling State Park. Caught and released 8 fish, a mix of largemouth and silver bass. The biggest one was probably around 11". I used both Texas-rigged plastic worms and a small spinnerbait. This is my first season fishing "seriously" and I never had a day like this. It was also my first time catching anything with a spinnerbait:). Quite a thrill when all you've ever done is worm and bobber. It just doesn't look like anything a fish would want to bite!
