Fished West Sister Sunday AM with my buddy in his boat. Left from the Raisin River and headed East to find clean water. The water was truely thick with junk out to about 2 miles West of Sputnik. Headed East to West Sister and found clean water about 3-4 miles Northwest and started a slow troll with the wind, headng North.
Picked up a 24" walleye about 10 minutes after we set up on a hot pink harness run with a 3 oz snap weight on the 50/50 method. Put it back down an hit a 19" walleye about 15 minutes later. Turned around, ran back to run it again, this time a little farther south and nothing.
Fishing is slow this year for me. It is going to take a few days to clean up the Western Basin from the wind the last few days. I'm thinking of trailering to Catawba Island for some walleye action down there. It seem the better fishing is near that portion of the lake right now.
