Fished Stoney for a few hours today. Brought home one walleye and one nice crappie. Caught a few other small fish. Picked up fish trolling harnesses. Weeds are terrible already. They do have that machine they use to clear them out though :) . This is the worst I have seen them in about 10 years. My favorite spots are completely weed choked.

Nice, Im About 15 Minutes From There And I Never Seam To Catch Any Fish Out of That Lake. Then Again My Boat Is Way To Big For Stoney.

I fished there last week, and your right the weeds are horrible. I picked up one nice Crappie, and a Catfish trolling, no eyes, real tough to fish now.

Two weeks ago I managed 1 wallleye and a small pike trolling my reliable crankbait. The weeds don't affect me much I concentrate on the deeper water.

I have never had much luck in the deeper part by the south dam. All I have got out of there is small cats. Most of my fish the last couple of years have come in 9-12'. I used to get a few on hot-n-tots but it seems like harnesses get more hits for me now. Hopefully they will have the weeds under control and the lake will be more fishable soon. May head out for a couple of hours saturday evening for a little while to relax and troll a hour or two. Nice place to unwind without the chaos.
