Smallmouth confushion

Caught a 21" smallmouth that still had eggs in her it should have spawned already rite?:confused:

Lots of Bass have NOT spawned as yet. Water levels, Cold fronts, all are partially to blame... Southeast michigan has most lakes NOT yet spawned, Bass were moving onto the beds, and the weather pushed them off, as yet most have not returned.. Hopefuly they will finish in the next couple weeks..otherwise, its gonna be a poor year class of fish..

Fatcat.

I'm thinking Trailfndr is right. If I'm not mistaken, bass are amoung the fish species able to re-obsorb their eggs and skip a spawn if the conditions are not right or get right for spawning.
