for bait, most people who bowfish just use a bowfishing arrow, they like plain the best, and then a bow and some string..........

Really though, if you are talking about chum, there are a ton of possabilities. When I fish for them, I usually just throw out a can of corn, or some cooked oats. They also love shredded wheat, soak it for a while, mix some corn and oats in, that'll bring em in.

We always chummed with whole kernel sweet corn...which works great. Made the mistake of not reading the label on the can once and bought creamed corn. That didn't work very well.

looking for local lakes to bowfish at night, need to be able to launch a pontoon boat and be able to use the launch from like 8 pm until 1-2 am to take the boat back out, willing to pay to launch at a private launch. Also happy to have 1-2 guys come along if they know some good spots they would like to share. Would like it to be within an hour or so of Novi. Any help would be appreciated !!
