Lake Missaukee

My buddy just got a house on this lake and was wondering how the walleye

My parents bought a cottage on the southside of the lake 5 years ago. I am up there quite a bit, but i do more jet ski riding than fishing, but i would like to get back into fishing. From what Ive heard through the years, the walleye fishing is decent. The east side (the side with the public beach right off the main road) of the lake has some nice dropoffs, up to 20 ft which is about as deep as the lake gets. The lake is full of pike. Im not sure if its still true or not, but there used to be no size limit on pike in the lake but you might want to check out the fishing guide book and see. Also, a few years back, i read in Michigan Sportsman magazine that this lake was one of the top bass lakes in the state, both species. Its a really nice lake, but I guess milfoil is starting to become a problem. Hope that helps
