Oh sorry about that. Didn't mean to get anyone mixed up. My dad's buddy told us we were fishing white lake. Maybe he got the lake mixed up with another one.

The Best spot I have found over the years is on the Canadian side on the north side of the parking lot for the Casino. Eyesite of the Whisky plant.
The best bait has always been good stickey dough balls.
Didn't fish them last year but prior 6 years we would average 6 a day and most over 18lbs. Run a fishfinder rig and twenty pound main line. Use two to three droppers running 3/o long shank hooks. You might see a thin guy running custom equipment, and using the best looking dough ball you ever seen tell him I sent you and he might show you the ropes. His name is Clay and he is the best at what he does so observe if you get a chance to meet him. Good Luck as the biggest are in the Detroit river, and they are strong.
Keep those hooks sharp.

The Actual Town of White Lake is over in Oakland county.

There is however a White Lake Township and an actual lake called White Lake about 15 miles north of Muskegon.

There is a White Lake in Oakland County too west of Pontiac off M-59 in East Highland.

Regardless, I think it would be a real short list to say what lakes and rivers in Michigan DON'T have carp. Just go to any warm backwater or pocket right now and you'll see all the carp you ever wanted rolling and splashing like crazy making more baby carp.

Go down the street and fish duck lake.. There were lots of carp back in the canals on the NW part of the lake....Of course this was 14 years ago, things might have changed.

I think saginaw bay has about a zillion that will be spawning shortly...Used to bowfish them of caseville..They hauled them off by the truckload.
