Hi was wondering if anyone can tell me how the fishing is in van etten lk. Will be up there in late june and would like to know where to fish for pan fish ? I will have my family with me so would like to know some hot spots to take them to. Any info will be helpful Thanks Alot Slayer :fish:

If you are going to be fishing off shore try the tailwaters below the Van Etten Dam. You can accsess the dam from town by turning right at the party store that is just before the public boat launch. This is a great spot for smallies, catfish, carp and walleyes as well as the occasional trout. Try casting right into the whitwater below the dam there is a deep hole that always holds a few big smallies. Good Luck.

Usually panfish of some kind can b found around the island, one side is steeper drop than other, trial an error(depending on water temp, time of day, year,etc) works best for me as to locating where they are most active...
