went to st clair, kingfisher2 and i...sole idea was to remove some of the radio collars and name tags from pauls pet skis...and well, tiring of that ..a little fishing broke out! we ended up with 3 eyes all about 19" ,tons of those out of season bronzebacks ,couple pan type and one acrobatic northern..4 o'clock breeze chased us to the local watering hole...ran into DNR surveyor as we were loading..most boats he had recorded had 2, 1, or 0 eyes for their efforts..Reckon hotwired was the sole limit man today....our fish came on a mixture of crawler harnesses and body baits, green or chartreuse being the preferable color..we fished 11 to 12 foot out from crocker launch..great day, fished with a great guy.....

Yea Hotwired was in the right spot at the right time. I hooked up with him towards the end of his fish . We fished only 20 min.'s tops and the weather got spooky! I did get a chance to see him give his lucky spinner harness to a scrappy musky. ((((now all the fish will know what the harness looks like)))). Moved in the area of Masonic. 13.5 fow hit one large eye with in 15 min's of putting down. trolled for 45 min's and nothing after. wind picked up and the wife and I went in to clean the boat.

I Was goning to fish South by the Det river Sunday but due to my ride back and all the junk in the water I'll be hitting metro Sunday. Chl. 68 A.W.O.L. // **** There is a lot of wood in the water ... Take care and keep your eyes open *****

Its been tough fishing with all of the goofy weather we have been getting so you guys did well. I rolled out of bed this morning, looked at the sky and went back to sleep. I hope everyone is safe out on the lake.

Bill, will you please send me my collars back? I was looking foir Eliza yesterday to ask where she wuld be on the opener, and I couldn't find her.:yikes:

Got out yesterday with Amos. The docks at Harley were barely out of the water, and the Clinton was FILTHY. We went out due N of Huron Point to try for pike, we were there for about 1/2 hour when I realized we hadn't paid homage to the fish godess. Not 5 minutes after a quick toast a feisty little northern nailed a rod. An hour later we decided to look for a bit cleaner water and headed up into the channels. The water temp in the channels was only 50 or so, but Kevin popped a ski in 18 FOW. Guess no one told her she was supposed to be up in warmer, shallower water making some boy muskie smile.:xzicon_sm

We decided to head in when the wind shifted and picked up. We might have been an hour premature in our decision to hed in, but after seeing that storm that came through, that decision was a heck of a lot better than being an hour too late in our departure.

Finding fishable water in the south end of the state could be quite a challenge for a while. Maybe some small spring fed inland lake........you wouldn't know where any of those are, would ya?;)

if its water, i probably know it........was considering some of clearer, less fertile deeper types for sure......., might have to resort to chasin some trout in one of those stocked lakes...or possibly up around holly rec area...or maybe head further north a two day trip or sumpin.....

A big thanks to Bill for a terrific day on the water. I must mention his technique....As we drifted, he was casting a chartruse taildancer and brought our first walleye to the boat. First time I've seen a walleye "cranked" in on LSC....great job Bill.

I think the previous days storm deffinetly put a damper on our fishing. And man, were we lucky to get off the water as we did.. I can only wonder what happened to the few 12'ers out there.....fools!

I look forward to our next drift Bill..THANKS!!!
