finally got out on the water!,,,sunday about 4:00 my buddy Darren was over helping move some stuff(motors mostly) around the garage and I was just about to pull a head of v-4 rude when I had a crazy thought!,,,,,so me and Darren went over with the poles and got into MY Boat and headed out! we did not have to much in the gas tank so we made the short trip down the middle channel,,,did not plan to get any fish but hey at least we would be fishing and not in the garage.
so like I said we headed down the middle channel a short way and dropped in the jigs,,,,and in less than one minute I was hooked up,,,,the first walleye of the year a beautiful 27" and a little over 7lbs :woohoo1: ,,,,how sweet is that? that's how to start the year out even if it was a late start!,,,so we fished for 2 more hours with only a little silver bas to show for the rest of the time but man was it good to get out!
