I'm going to the U.P. in a few days mainly to do some walleye fishing, but we will also be bringing our fly rods and waders to try out some trout action. We will be staying in Escanaba, but we are open to driving around to find some nice water to fish. We're "trolls" so we'll be coming from below the bridge. Some spots along the way would be cool to fish.
So far all I have planned out is to try the Escanaba River below Boney Falls dam. I've heard this can be some great water. If anyone has any tips that they would like to share I'd really appretiate it. I've only fly fished in the U.P. once and had minmial success. This time I'd like to have a better try at it. I could use some other places to go so please help me out. Thanks in advance!
