I've never used the Gulp worms but do good with powerbait natural and pumpkinseed worms when the perch keep robbing the real ones when pullin' harnesses.

It's on my list to try this year. If it works anything like the YUM and ZOOM worms I used last summer it's worth a look. Scent seems to be the key with plastics

they work great!! I have used them alot on lake erie with crawler harnesses. they don't get bit off and one gulp could catch 5-8 fish before it needs to be changed.

yes, the gulp worms work good.
They say better than live bait, but I would say as good as is a better summation. I use them on harneses also and have done real nitecrawlers and gulp side by side and taken fish on both at the same rate. They are better though in that they will usually catch multiple fish before you need to change unlike one cralwer one fish or a dink pulling your tail off at the last hook. I like them and are available in a wider range of colors than cralwers (DUH) try it, I think you will like it.
Note, be very careful. if you do not reseal the package they WILL dry out and become like a cralwer in the sun and ruin the whole bag! If you leave one on a harness after fishing they will dehydrate and stick to the hooks and area a bugger to remove. These are not rubber and must be treated differently, they will even grow mold on them if they sit to long after you open them. keeping them in the frige between trips is not a bad idea. good luck

Used one Sunday off and on. No runs, no hits, no errors.
But then again the red hooks didn't seem to help either.

Walleye Mike,
You just need to do a lot more research :D
(I still say his real name is something Bedell)

Dj, what do you mean by more research? Just bought a pkg. from BPS(6"nightcrawler) to give it a try. Not done trying yet. Made alot of crawler harenesses with red hooks also. Only time will tell.

I have used pumpkinseed Gulp with lead head jigs. They work as well as worms but last much better. I found a stinger hook stops them from grabbing the ends. Caught 4 nice ones yesterday at the fountain.

Used them at the end of last summer side by side with a worm (worm on 1 rod, gulp on the other) and agree they work as well...no noticeable difference, i was suprised.

Walleye Mike,
As if any of us need more excuses to go fishing, I was just hoping to give you another reason to go fishing that much more - "Hey, I can't help that the yard needs mowing. I have more research to do!!!! The guys are counting on me!!"

Glad I could help.
I'll be doing some more research myself soon now that I'm done with my annual winter repairing of my marriage (why I don't ice fish).
