I read where someone was using a Walleye Planer Board and being successful. Does anyone have a picture of one or info on how you run them.

These are the walleye boards that we use and I would recommend.

Used one Sunday. My buudy bought 2 at Meijers a couple weeks ago for $2 ea. On clearance. Seemed to work OK but I need a stiffer rod for it.

I've always preferred the bigger boards. If you want to build some yourself, here are some plans. I like Mahogany for the material.

the board shown is a LH, the RH is a mirror image.
If you want to get carried away as I have been know to do, your finished product could look like this:

I made a set from Johns plans and even thoe they are not a piece of art like his they run very good and out from the boat rather then way behind.

I made a set from Johns plans too. They pull better than any store bought boards. The also never flip in heavy seas.:)

$2 is a great deal for the boards Steven Arend posted a pic of-wish I would run across 2 port and 2 starboard for that price! I would also recommend those. Here's a link for the cheapest ones (new) I can find on the web. $21 and the mini's for $12.
