.....with this weather!!!! I'm thinkin' maybe a sacrifice :yikes: . Everybody go to thier tackle box, dig out one of those old plastic baits hiding in the bottom. You know, that jelly worm way in the back (from 1976). Take it to the the bathroom and FLUSH. Now shake Your fist to the East and tell these storms to GO AWAY :banghead3 . Gotta try something :D . Sorry Folks had to vent, have had it with this weather! Maybe can get out tommorow - Bob WC#253.

Bob.
It's 3:13pm Saturday 05-08-04. I don't know what residual waves there might be left out on the Bay from the N NE winds yesterday, or what any wind this morning might have left. But there is not a wisper of breeze right now on the Bay. Now, rather that would equate to good conditions for this afternoon or tonight would be debatable. But might be worth a trip out.

Thanks Dan - Don't want to mess up anybody elses chance to fish this afternoon :bonk: . Gonna play the odds and try and fish the Saginaw tommorow. Guess I have to much River Rat in Me, And I believe there should be some "eater" size Eyes' in the system to make things interesting. With the Flint and the Tibb still holding some Males, the Saginaw should give up a fish or two for dinner! Don't mind fishing in the rain, just gotta get rid of this lightning :hide: . Bob WC#253.

A long graphate rod makes a good lightning rod.....

ND - Always the comedian  ! The Saginaw was running high, with lots of debris and the color of coffee with cream. Went to Mott Lake instead (Baydog and I), got one Eye, 1 Smally and 1 big Carp. Bob WC#253.

It sure felt good to stretch the string again. ND I tried to get Chamook to use about a ten foot section of steel leader to go with the graphite rod also. Like Chamook said we went 1 for 3 on the eyes and I bet with better water clarity we might had better hookups. They sure wanted the bait if they could see it. Hooked the one way down on a rib bone I believe. :yikes: Baydog2

I fished mott last night, one eye 16inches, fished holloway this morning, one eye also 16 inches. hey at least i'm consistent, I just keep barely escaping skunk. I know what you mean about dirty water all this rain is killing it.

Yeh Scotty the reservoirs seemed to be the only place decent enough to fish. When we saw the Saginaw this morning it only took 2 seconds to do a 180 and head for Mott. Water at Mott was stained but at least there was not a lot of debri on the lines every five minutes. The one eye we took was just 15 inches. We got some decent hits and a few hookups but the bait had to be right in front of them. Heading up to Houghton Lake next weekend and the rain should not effect an inland lake as much I hope. Baydog2

BayDog - I'm wondering how much all this rain is going to affect Sanford for the Pike Tourny this weekend :gaga: . Bob.
