Blue Gill or Crappie Anyone

Anyone had any luck yet? Going out this weekend and wondering what they are hitting on or what depth they are holding at?

I heard Reeds was giving up some specs and gills. Didn't here where. :fish:

Boy, Either everyone has a honey hole that is producing or there is nothing in the lakes. I heard of one small gill caught around the gun lake area lakes. At least the guy didn't get skunked.

I was out this past Saturday evening on one of the Pinckney area lakes. No crappie, a couple small gills and couldn't keep the bass off my minnows. A couple guys I talked to said the fish have yet to really group in the shallows.

Similar report to KI Jim's. We fished near Ann Arbor last night and got a couple panfish in shallow, but had to wade through a bunch of bass to get them. Not that I'm complaining.

Caught fish at will last night in inches of water...Good hatch going on. Lots of gills, few p-seeds, and tons of 12-14" bass. It was great fun with my 4' ice fishing pole!! :)
