surf fishing in saginaw bay

Anyone been surf fishing around linwood, pinconning, or standish areas? Ive been trying around au gre but they seem to have turned off lately with the cold weather and high winds. Also havent seen a smelt in three weekends, been to singing bridge, foster rd., tawas behind holiday inn, and pt. au gre.
Any info would be great.
